Pamukkale & Hierapolis Tour from Side

Journey inland from Side to the white travertines of Pamukkale and the archaeological landscape of Hierapolis. The drive takes about three and a half hours with comfort stops, using an air-conditioned vehicle for the longer inland journey. At Hierapolis, an English-speaking guide introduces the ancient streets, buildings and history before the group continues towards the calcium-rich terraces that give Pamukkale its “Cotton Castle” appearance. Guests have time to walk through the protected landscape, take photographs and view the warm spring-water formations. The Cleopatra or Antique Pool is available as a separately paid swimming option rather than part of the standard package. An open-buffet lunch is included during the day, while drinks and personal spending remain separate. Wear comfortable shoes that are easy to remove where site rules require bare feet, and bring strong sun protection, water and a light layer for the journey.
