Journey inland from Belek to the white travertines of Pamukkale and the archaeological landscape of Hierapolis. The drive takes about three and a half hours with comfort stops, using an air-conditioned vehicle for the longer inland journey. At Hierapolis, an English-speaking guide introduces the ancient streets, buildings and history before the group continues towards the calcium-rich terraces that give Pamukkale its “Cotton Castle” appearance. Guests have time to walk through the protected landscape, take photographs and view the warm spring-water formations.
